Meet The Team

The unique pedagogical vision of Kid's Garden raises expectations. The success of our project depends immensely on our pedagogical team. We pay a lot of attention to professionalism, personality, initiative, flexibility and perseverance.

Our teaching staff is not only knowledgeable but they also give substance to their example. They show interest in the world of the child, have an eye and heart for every child and help them refine their inner talents and sense of self-esteem. Our teachers also reflect on their own pedagogical methods which allows them to continuously improve. They follow the latest pedagogical trends and are eager to deepen their knowledge by undergoing training. This joint devotion benefits both the family and child care. Our team is composed of HBO-trained, experienced professionals who are young, energetic, and willing to further develop with the Fomento programme.

As location manager, I look after the quality within Kid's Garden. I coach the pedagogical staff in group work and watch your child's development with them. After graduating from HBO Pedagogy and post-HBO Autism, I worked within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for several years.

My expat family background eventually brought me to Kid's Garden. I am your point of contact if there are any questions around your child's development.

Kelly, location manager

I am Maureen, born and raised in Maastricht. I am a proud mother of two boys. I graduated from the HBO Pedagogy program in Sittard. I believe it is important to give real attention and connect with each unique child. As a pedagogical policy officer, I want to contribute to the establishment and implementation of the Fomento Optimist program within Kid’s Garden. In my free time, I enjoy cycling with my family and going out with friends and family. I love conviviality, homeliness, and the Burgundian way of life. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and building a bond with both you and your children!

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Svanhilde, an experienced pedagogical staff member with over 16 years of experience. Since 2021, I have been working with great pleasure at Kid's Garden. In my free time, I enjoy walking and Zumba dancing. I am also responsible for guiding interns in the group, and I am also the head of first aid. When working with children, I believe it is important to be patient and give each child personal attention. My motto is: treat children the way you would like to be treated. I have found that this works tremendously well.

I am Serena van der Molen! Recently, I became a mother of a beautiful boy. I have completed my training to become a primary school teacher and I am currently studying to become a pedagogical coach. At Kid's Garden, I apply my interests in didactics and pedagogy, especially when providing activities for the 3+ group. I have gained previous experience as a flexible worker in childcare, but I wanted to work in a fixed group to get to know the children better. I attach great importance to the child's relationship with others, their autonomy, competencies, and their development at their own pace and level. Oh, and by the way, I am of Italian origin and think it is fantastic that Kid's Garden pays attention to teaching a second language! Serena, Pedagogical staff member

My name is Alysha Azzaretto and I live in Maastricht. From September 2021 to June 2022, I did my internship at Kid's Garden. In June 2022, I obtained my specialized diploma as a pedagogical assistant and have been working as a full-time pedagogical assistant at Kid's Garden since then. During my studies, I did internships at various daycare centers, which allowed me to gain a lot of experience and knowledge. It is nice to see how children go through the process of approaching each other, playing together, or taking on a challenge. I believe it is important for children to grow up in a trusted, loving environment and to develop in their own way. It is beautiful and special to be part of these developments.

Hi everyone, my name is Andriani and I am originally from Greece. I completed my MSc in Developmental Psychology at Maastricht University, where I learned a lot about the development, thoughts, and behavior of children. Working with children is my passion and I enjoy helping them develop in their own unique way. At Kid's Garden, I think it's a great idea for children to be exposed to another language at a young age, and I am very interested in the Optimist method.

I believe it's important for children to get enough exercise, both indoors and outdoors. This is not only good for their physical health but also for their overall development. That's why I pay a lot of attention to promoting movement among the children and organizing fun activities, both indoors and outdoors. In this way, I want to contribute to their development.

After my study MBO educational assistant I did experience in different childcare centers. I find it very beautiful to see how a child can grow and flourish. I like to help in their development. At Kid's Garden I find an extra incentive that a second language is offered.

My biggest hobby is singing in an opera choir SOP (Stichting opera Parkstad).     I also enjoy baking, hiking, reading and spending time with my boyfriend or friends.

Together I hope we will have enjoyable time in Kid's Garden!
